Oxbury Directors
James Oxbury BSc (Hons), MRICS Managing Director
Based: Norwich
James has been with the Company since leaving college in 1996 and has been a Director since 2007, leading the Oxbury Southern Team. He was appointed Managing Director in September 2016 and has ultimate responsibility for the management of the Company and retains a direct involvement with the Affordable Housing sector work of the Chelmsford and Cambridge offices.
In his spare time, James can be found cycling around the countryside and spending time with his young family.Sue Howes Director Affordable Housing Sector
Based: Norwich
Sue was a co-founder of the Company in 1990, having previously worked for Architects and Developers.
Sue has a wide project management experience of new build, refurbishment and special projects; and of successful large-scale programme delivery within the affordable housing sector. She heads up the Norwich-led services for affordable housing clients.
In her spare time, Sue enjoys theatre and dance, travelling, her home, garden and dogs. -

Aaron Joyce BSc, MRICS Associate Director
Based: Norwich
Aaron joined Oxbury in April 2016 as an Associate Director.
He started his career in Norwich before moving to London, where he worked for some of the industry’s top tier consultancy practices. After 12 years in London, he returned to Norwich and prior to joining Oxbury spent 6 years as the Commercial Manager for a Main Contractor.
In his spare time, Aaron enjoys spending time with his wife and three young children, and time permitting, football, cycling and the occasional half marathon!Sally Brooks BSc (Hons), MRICS Associate Director
Based: Norwich
Sally joined Oxbury in July 2017 as an Associate Director having joined the construction industry in 1994 when she worked in the family business. Sally gained her chartered status in 2004 and has spent the last 19 years specialising in residential developments, especially affordable housing. Sally had a short secondment to Doha, Qatar in 2009, where she worked on a multi-million-pound airport expansion project. Sally is also an RICS APC Assessor.

Based: Chelmsford
Amy graduated from the University of Reading in 2007 with a 2:1 in Human and Physical Geography and has since completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Quantity Surveying. She gained her Chartered status in 2017 and is based in the Chelmsford Office. Amy is responsible for both pre and post Contract schemes.
In her spare time, Amy enjoys family time and events with her New Forest pony – having qualified for the Grassroot Championships at Badminton Horse Trails in 2019.Richard Ramsey MRICS MCIOB ACIArb Associate Director
Based: London
Richard joined Oxbury in April 2018 as an Associate Quantity Surveyor after working in London for a number of years. He has since been promoted to Associate Director and leads the London office. Richard has gained over 14 years of experience providing cost management and contractual advice to clients in the Education, Retail, Commercial and Residential sectors. Richard looks to facilitate engagement with the project team to ensure best value is delivered at all stages of the project lifecycle.
In his spare time, Richard enjoys spending time with his family, travelling and watching a variety of sport.Edward L. MRICS BA (Hons) MSc Associate Project Surveyor
Based: Cambridge
Ed joined Oxbury's Cambridge office in 2015 and completed his APC to become a Chartered Surveyor in 2019. He has a master's in quantity surveying and a Post Grad Diploma in Construction Law.
In his spare time, Ed enjoys travelling and has previously lived and worked in South Korea, China and Cambodia which was a long way from his Lincolnshire roots, and spending time with his young family.Tom Puncher MRICS BSc (Hons) PGDip Associate Project Surveyor

Tom joined Oxbury's Chelmsford office in 2015 and completed his APC to become a Chartered Surveyor in 2019.

Based: Cambridge
Michael joined Oxbury in July 2023 as a Senior Project Manager having previously worked at a multi-disciplinary design and project management consultancy for 9 years. Michael qualified as a Civil Engineer in 2014 and began his career as an Engineer working in the rail industry; he moved into Project Management 6 years ago to work on projects across a number of sectors including; Education (SEND and Higher Education), Local Authority, and Defence. He also recently became a Chartered Project Professional with the Association for Project Management.
Away from work Michael spends time exercising, attempting DIY, and spending time with friends and family.Matthew Gotts BEng, PG Dip Project Surveyor
Based: Norwich
Matthew has been with the Firm since 2006, before which he spent ten years in a variety of technical support and engineering roles in industry. He has a BEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and a Diploma in Quantity Surveying.
His primary role involves assessing new schemes, visiting sites to assess their potential, dealing with architects, surveyors and other third parties, producing initial budget costs and liaising with the Client. Following this, if the schemes are deemed viable, he deals with the post Contract side of the schemes, taking them through to completion.Charlie Boxall MICWCI Clerk of Works & Defects Surveyor
Based: Chelmsford
Charlie joined Oxbury in July 2019, having worked in a number of construction and property management roles, progressing from a site operative to a site manager for a Main Contractor, before moving on to become a reactive maintenance surveyor for a property management company, and most recently a technical services manager. Charlie brings this onsite and buildability experience to undertake the role of Defects Inspections for projects delivered by Oxbury across our Geographic area.

Based: Norwich
Jack joined the Oxbury team in September 2022 as a Trainee Project Surveyor. He has recently started his degree in quantity surveying at ARU Chelmsford via their apprenticeship program. Jack’s interests sprung for quantity surveying and the building industry whilst working for his father and wider experience with a developer.
In Jack’s free time he can be found enjoying cycling, swimming and running as well as spending time with family and friends.Jacob Thompson Trainee Project Surveyor

Jacob joined the Oxbury team in January 2023 as Trainee Project Surveyor and is starting a degree in quantity surveying at ARU Chelmsford via the apprenticeship program. He previously attained a First Class Honors Degree in Football Business and Finance.
Outside of work Jacob's enjoys football and fitness, reading, cooking and spending time with family and friends.Louis Ramsay Trainee Project Surveyor
Based: Chelmsford
Louis joined the Oxbury team in August 2023 as a Trainee Project Surveyor and is starting a degree in quantity surveying at ARU Chelmsford via the apprenticeship program. Louis decided to pursue a career in quantity surveying after working for a property developer in Sawbridgeworth for a year and seeing, firsthand, the importance of the role.
In his free time Louis enjoys playing and watching rugby. He also has a passion for films and travelling. When not doing these things, you will find him spending time with family and friends. -

Stephanie Pain BSc, MCIPD HR & Practice Manager
Based: Norwich
Steph has worked in both public and private sector HR for 30 years and achieved her Chartered Membership of the CIPD in 2005. She joined Oxbury in 2010 and enjoys a more varied role covering Facilities and Practice Management as well as HR. Steph is the first point of contact for most things not directly related to a building project.

Jo joined Oxbury in 2010 and is the Secretary for the Chelmsford Office.
