James Oxbury BSc (Hons), MRICS / Managing Director
James has been with the Company since leaving college in 1996 and has been a Director since 2007, leading the Oxbury Southern Team. He was appointed Managing Director in September 2016 and has ultimate responsibility for the management of the Company and retains a direct involvement with the Affordable Housing sector work of the Chelmsford and Cambridge offices.
In his spare time, James can be found cycling around the countryside and spending time with his young family.
Tim Boucher BSc (Hons), MRICS / Director Commercial and Public Sector
Tim joined the firm in August 2015 as a Director to strengthen the commercial sector of the business. Tim has over 20 years' experience working on projects for both public and private sector clients and has particular expertise in private residential, commercial and education projects. Tim works throughout the three offices in Norwich, Chelmsford and Cambridge.
In his spare time, Tim enjoys taking part in Triathlons and the odd round of golf. Tim is also a member of Interact Norwich and Chairman of Poringland Parish Council.
Sue Howes / Director Affordable Housing Sector
Sue was a co-founder of the Company in 1990, having previously worked for Architects and Developers.
Sue has a wide project management experience of new build, refurbishment and special projects; and of successful large-scale programme delivery within the affordable housing sector. She heads up the Norwich-led services for affordable housing clients.
In her spare time Sue enjoys theatre and dance, travel, her home, garden and dogs.Close Bio

Aaron Joyce BSc, MRICS / Associate Director, Senior Project Surveyor
Aaron joined Oxbury in April 2016 as an Associate Director.
He started his career with Davis Langdon in Norwich before moving to London, where he worked for some of the industry’s top tier consultancy practices. After 12 years in London, he returned to Norwich and prior to joining Oxbury spent 6 years as the Commercial Manager for a main contractor.
Outside of work Aaron enjoys spending time with his family and time permitting, football, squash and the odd half marathon!Close Bio
Dan McKenna / Associate Director, Senior Project Manager
Dan joined Oxbury in June 2015 having previously worked both in the consultancy sector and on the Client side for Aviva delivering a variety of commercial new build and refurbishment projects.

Geoff Gardiner MRICS, MBA / Associate Director, Senior Project Surveyor
Geoff joined Oxbury in 2004 to help set up the Chelmsford office. With chartered status and an MBA, his previous experience is varied and includes over 6 years in general building contracting, residential development, social housing development and managing social housing, together with the time employed at Oxbury as a Project Surveyor.
Out of office hours, Geoff still plays hockey and his other interests include golf, history and gardening.Close Bio
James Crouchman BSc, MRICS / Associate Director, Senior Project Surveyor
James is a Senior Project Surveyor overseeing the delivery of primarily residential schemes and was appointed as Associate Director at the beginning of 2015.
He joined Oxbury in 2007 from the London office of a merchant bank where he specialised in property lending. Prior to that, he spent 19 years in a private quantity surveying practice based in London.
A young family keeps him busy, but in any spare time he enjoys walking, hill walking, running, cycling and motorcycling.
Mark Watts BSc, PG Dip, MRICS / Associate Director, Senior Project Surveyor
Mark has been with the Firm since 2005. He has a BSc Honours degree in Economics and Geography, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Quantity Surveying.
He is responsible for the project management of several projects from the Cambridge Office.Close Bio
Sally Brooks BSc (Hons), MRICS / Associate Director, Senior Project Surveyor
Sally joined Oxbury in July 2017 as an Associate Director having joined the construction industry in 1994 when she worked in the family business. Sally gained her chartered status in 2004 and has spent the last seventeen years specialising in residential developments, especially affordable housing. Sally had a short secondment to Doha, Qatar in 2009, where she worked on a multi-million pound airport expansion project. Sally is also an RICS APC Assessor.
In her spare time, Sally enjoys travel, keeping fit and spending time with her husband and pet Labrador.Close Bio
Stephen Denton / Associate Project Surveyor
Stephen joined Oxbury in October as an Associate Project Surveyor with over 30 years as a cost consultant within the construction industry. Stephen has worked within the east of England region for nearly 20 years in the residential, education, health and commercial sectors providing cost management, employers agent and contract administration services.
Outside work,Stephen enjoys country walks, helping local Scouting and likes to play the occasional round of golf.Close Bio
Amy Butler-Priestley BSc, PG Dip, MRICS / Associate Project Surveyor
Amy graduated from the University of Reading in 2007 with a 2:1 in Human and Physical Geography and has since completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Quantity Surveying. She gained her Chartered status in 2017 and is based in the Chelmsford Office. Amy is responsible for both pre and post Contract schemes.
Amy enjoys travelling, having recently ventured to India and Australia. She volunteered as a Gamesmaker at the London 2012 Olympics.Close Bio
Phillip Amos BA (Hons) MCIOB IOSH / Associate Project Manager
Philip joined Oxbury in July 2019 as an Associate Project Manager. Phillip has gained 30 years professional experience within the construction industry. He started his career in Architecture and Building Surveying, moving on to Design and Asset Management. These additional technical skills provide Phillip with a solid background to his role as a Project Manager, which he has developed over the last 15 years. Phillip enjoys mentoring the next generation of professionals and in his spare time enjoys swimming, gardening and time with his family.Close Bio
Richard Ramsey BSc (Hons) MRICS / Associate Project Surveyor
Richard joined Oxbury in April 2018 as an Associate Quantity Surveyor after working in London for a number of years. Richard has gained over 14 years of experience providing cost management and contractual advice to clients in the Education, Retail, Commercial and Residential sectors. Richard looks to facilitate engagement with the project team to ensure best value is delivered at all stages of the project lifecycle.

Tadhg Ryan MRICS MSCSI MSc / Associate Project Surveyor
Tadhg joined the practice in January 2019 and has 20 years’ experience gained in both the consultancy and contracting sides of the industry. He has significant experience in the commercial management of large residential and commercial buildings having recently been based in London for 8 years. Tadhg has a reputation as an approachable team player, keen to become an integrated part of the Clients organisation and a trusted commercial guardian.

Chris Perkins BA (Hons) PGDip / Senior Project Manager
Chris joined Oxbury’s Cambridge Office as a Senior Project Manager in February 2019 having previously worked in design, contracting and public sector estates, including Higher Education and in the Royal Household Property Section. He has a degree in architecture and post graduate diploma in Project Management.

Matthew Gotts BEng, PG Dip / Project Surveyor
Matthew has been with the Firm since 2006, before which he spent ten years in a variety of technical support and engineering roles in industry. He has a BEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and a Diploma in Quantity Surveying.
His primary role involves assessing new schemes, visiting sites to assess their potential, dealing wtih architects, surveyors and other third parties, producing initial budget costs and liaising with the Client. Following this, if the schemes are deemed viable, he deals with the post Contract side of the schemes, taking them through to completion.Close Bio
Edward Lamyman MRICS BA (Hons) MSc / Project Surveyor
Ed joined Oxbury's Cambridge office in 2015 and completed his APC to become a Chartered Surveyor in 2019. Ed enjoys travelling and has previously lived and worked in South Korea, China and Cambodia which was a long way from his Lincolnshire roots. In addition he enjoys travelling in his camper van, cycling and the art of competitive beard growing!Close Bio
Charlie Boxall / Defects Surveyor
Charlie joined Oxbury in July 2019, having worked in a number of construction and property management roles, progressing from a site operative to a site manager for a Main Contractor, before moving on to become a reactive maintenance surveyor for a property management company, and most recently a technical services manager. Charlie brings this onsite and buildability experience to undertake the role of Defects Inspections for projects delivered by Oxbury across our Geographic area.
In his spare time Charlie enjoys going for bike rides with his family, watching his children at their various sporting activities and socialising with family and friends.Close Bio
Elaine Hedges BSc (Hons) / Project Surveyor
Elaine joined Oxbury's in 1994 as a Secretary and was one of the Company's first employees. She has fulfilled a number of roles since then and in 2015 she took the decision to re-train as a Quantity Surveyor. Elaine undertook a 5-year part-time Quantity Surveying degree and graduated with First Class Honours in 2020.

Niamh Norris / Trainee Project Surveyor
Niamh joined Oxbury in September 2019 as a Trainee Project Surveyor. Niamh recently completed her A-Levels in Business, Economics and Psychology and is now undertaking a Degree in Quantity Surveying at ARU via their Apprenticeship Programme. Niamh has always had a strong interest in the role of a Surveyor and is keen to become Chartered in the future.

Sam Maynard / Trainee Project Surveyor
Sam joined the Oxbury team in September 2019 as a Trainee Project Surveyor. Sam recently moved to Norfolk with his family having previously lived and worked in Cornwall. Sam spent 6 months working with a Construction firm as an Assistant Project Manager before deciding on a career path towards Quantity Surveying.
Sam is undertaking a Degree in Quantity Surveying at ARU in Chelmsford, as part of their Apprenticeship programme.Close Bio

Stephanie Pain BSc, MCIPD / HR & Practice Manager
Steph has worked in both public and private sector HR for 20 years and achieved her Chartered Membership of the CIPD in 2005. She joined Oxbury in 2010 and enjoys a more varied role covering Facilities and Practice Management as well as HR. Steph is the first point of contact for most things not directly related to a building project.
Away from work Steph is a keen track & field athlete but spends most of her time providing a taxi service for her children!

Mandy has many years’ secretarial and administrative experience and has previously worked for two firms of Chartered Surveyors. Prior to that, she worked at Anglian Water for several years and also at a charity for disadvantaged school leavers.
