working for OXBURY chartered SURVEYORS
We value all our staff and strive to offer a professional and supportive working environment where everyone is supported to achieve their goals. If you think you'd like to work with us, please read on for more information about the Company, our benefits package and training programme.
We are a professional service-driven Company and expect our staff to behave professionally and to treat each other and our clients with respect at all times. All our staff are treated as individuals and allowed the freedom to manage their own time and projects (although we do work within a structured project management process and operate a system of sign-offs and audits in order to meet client's requirements). All of our Directors are involved in the day to day running of the Company and are available to provide support and advice as and when required. Our Managing Director and Directors keep staff up-to-date with plans for the Company and are keen to listen to ideas and suggestions.
We are a friendly team and arrange regular social events for staff and clients: In recent years we've enjoyed Christmas meals, a trip to the pantomime, a treasure hunt around Norwich, drinks receptions, stand-up comedians, punting in Cambridge and ten-pin bowling. We recently enjoyed an open-air performance of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night as part of our 25th Anniversary Celebrations. We also enter teams in local sporting events and support various charity events throughout the year.
We hold the RICS Inclusive Employer Quality Mark. This recognises employers who put diversity and inclusivity at the heart of their business and employment practices.
We offer a generous benefits package including basic salary (with additional location allowances in Chelmsford and Cambridge); car allowance (for mobile roles); non-contributory pension scheme with an Employer contribution of 9%; and enhanced holiday, sickness, maternity and paternity packages. We support a variety of working patterns and many of our current staff benefit from part-time, compressed hours or home working agreements.
Oxbury provides generous practical and financial support for training. All staff are supported in their Continuous Professional Development and professional memberships and we offer both internal and external training opportunities. We currently have a number of staff who are working towards completing their Assessment of Professional Competence to become Chartered Members of the RICS.
Oxbury operates from modern, comfortable, well equipped offices in Norwich (Thorpe St Andrew), Chelmsford (Springfield) and Cambridge (Stow-Cum-Quy). All our offices are on purpose-built business parks with easy access from main routes and free on-site parking. Our offices have kitchen facilities and we supply free hot and cold drinks and fresh fruit for all our staff.
