Code Level 6 Scheme To Proceed Chelmsford Borough Council has this month granted planning permission for a scheme of 10 General Needs houses and flats to be built to achieve Code Level 6 of the Code for Sustainable Homes. The project, at Mendip Road, Chelmsford, for Chelmer Housing Partnership has funding from the Housing Corporation and should now start on site in the autumn.
Oxbury & Company is acting as Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors for the scheme, which Architects Ingleton Wood are designing, to include a communal biomass boiler and other sustainable measures. This will be one of the first schemes in the Country to be delivered to achieve Code Level 6.
Work Start On Major Housing Scheme For The Elderly To The West Of Norwich Work has started on building a major £5 million ‘Very Sheltered Scheme’ to the west of Norwich, which will provide 34 self-contained flats for elderly people, as well as 20 respite care rooms, designed to accommodate those being cared for at home, enabling their carers to take a break.
