Scheme Shortlisted for RICS Community Resource Award
Kessingland Very Sheltered Housing - Including Library and Cafe
Oxbury & Company managed the design and build procurement process providing 32 two-bedroomed sheltered accomodation flats within a community focused building, accessible to all with a café and community rooms for mixed agency uses. e.g. parishcouncil, Citizens Advice Bureau.

The scheme is located to the south of Kessingland Primary School and access is from Hall Road. Work will began on the development early 2008 Handover was on 18th September 2009.
Thirteen flats are alocated for affordable rent, six for outright sale and thirteen for shared equity. Anyone aged 55 or over with a local connection to the area and has a need for at least four hours care per week is eligible to register.
The total cost of the scheme is estimated to be £5.6 million with the Homes and Communities Agency providing nearly £2 million of grant funding and Waveney District Council contributing £33,000.
