The development is being carried out in three phases with the first phase having already reached completion in June 2008 and the final phase due for completion in January 2013.
The first phase, Clibbon House, involved the demolition of a dated sheltered scheme, which was replaced with new flats, houses and wheelchair bungalows.
The second phase, which is currently under way, consists of the construction of 6Nr. new shop units for leasehold and 21Nr.flats for rent.
The third and final phase will commence following the Practical Completion of Phase 2. Phase 3 involves the construction of further 23Nr. dwellings consisting of flats and houses.
The regeneration project involves Local Residents, Babergh District Council, Flagship Housing Group, Oxbury and Company and Lovell Partnerships Limited working together to regenerate an area of Great Cornard.
